| ELF Renault Hill House Hammond Clio Cup newcomer Team Gatecrasher launched its 2004 driver line-up in glamorous fashion on Saturday during the legendary Sheffield nightclub's fifth annual dance music festival at Birmingham's NEC in front of more than 35,000 people.
The unveiling of the team's three cars in their 2004 liveries attracted plenty of attention from the gathered masses, bringing the ELF Renault Hill House Hammond Clio Cup to a major new young audience.
Recent Team Gatcrasher ELF Renault Hill House Hammond Clio Winter Cup competitors Steven Hunter (Coal Aston) and Stephen Warburton (Leigh Sinton, Malvern) will be joined by Phil Grinsell next season with the possibility of the outfit also expanding to a fourth car.
With the Gatecrasher brand giving its full backing to the Sheffield-based team the outfit is confident of making a major impact on the 2004 championship, having already gone very well in the recent Winter Cup where Hunter achieved a brace of podium finishes - his first coming in his debut Clio Cup race at Donington Park.
Commenting at the NEC launch of the team's 2004 challenge, Steven Hunter said: "This is an amazing opportunity for Team Gatecrasher. To be able to introduce the Clio Cup to such an untapped audience as Gatecrasher's colourful crowd will add so much entertainment value to the Clio series, and the paddock, next year.
"We had a fantastic response from the club-goers who have embraced the team as their own and we hope to see increased spectator figures due to this. We are absolutely delighted and looking forward to the 2004 season."
